SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Regional Transporation Council has received millions in federal funding for multiple projects across the county.
SRTC says approximately $40 million will be invested over three years starting in 2027 for construction and preservation projects.
SRTC says some of the notable projects include $5 million for the Sullivan/Trent interchange in Spokane Valley, $2.1 million for Spokane’s Active Transportation Projects on Division, and $5 million for Highway 2 enhancements in Airway Heights.
“These investments are important for our community in addressing issues of safety, congestion, walkability, and transit access,” said SRTC Executive Director Lois Bollenback. “Projects that address preservation of our existing transportation system are also being funded with a set-aside provided by the SRTC Board.”
