BOISE — The U.S. Marshals Task Force says it has located an contacted the man witnesses saw in the Sawtooth National Forest who was believed to be Travis Decker.
Decker is wanted for the murder and kidnapping of 9-year-old Paityn, 8-year-old Evelyn and 5-year-old Olivia.

The hiker is the same height and close to the same weight as Decker. He also had dark features, a beard and tattoos on his arm and calf.
Investigators spoke with the hiker who confirmed he was in that area this past weekend.
The U.S. Marshals Service says it has stopped searching for Decker in the Sawtooth National Forest and has begun to demobilize resources in that area.
The U.S. Marshals Service is still offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading directly to Decker’s arrest.
