SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — UPDATED at 6 p.m. on July 9 – Investigators have released new photos of the man who went missing from Deer Park on Monday.
According to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, 72-year-old Harry A. Ballman, also known as ‘Gus’, was reported missing by his family on July 7.
Ballman has dementia and was last seen walking north on Highway 2 on Monday.
On Wednesday, SCSO released photos taken from some surveillance video around 4 p.m. on July 7 near Highway 2 and Deer Park Milan Road. He is seen wearing a green baseball cap and a Seattle Seahawks t-shirt.
His family said they believe he may be trying to hitchhike toward the Boston area.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a missing Deer Park man with dementia.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 72-year-old Harry A. Ballman was last seen at his home on East Laurel Road in Deer Park on July 6.
Harry is known to take early morning walks. His family believes that was what he was doing when he was found not to be home.
It is not known where Harry could be, but with the heat, his dementia diagnosis and additional health concerns, his family and friends are worried about his welfare.
Harry is described as a 72-year-old white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 pounds with blue eyes, white hair and a full white beard.
The sheriff’s office says he tends to wear Seahawks attire and is believed to be on foot.
