MOSES LAKE, Wash — Moses Lake School District (MLSD) has selected Jason De Lane as the new principal of Knolls Vista Elementary School for the 2025-26 school year.
According to the Moses Lake School District, De Lane brings more than a decade of teaching and leadership experience to the 300-student school. He most recently served as a mathematics teacher and principal designee at Paideia High School in Valley, Washington, and has taught mathematics, social studies, and special education in Tennessee and Texas.
MSLD stated that De Lane replaces Adam Sawyer, who has accepted a district leadership role as Assistant Executive Director of Safety and Well-being.
“Jason De Lane embodies those values. He brings a strong commitment to student success and a collaborative leadership style that will resonate with staff, families, and the entire KV community,” said Superintendent Carol Lewis.
De Lane holds degrees from Eastern Washington University, the University of Houston, and St. Edward’s University.
“I am very happy to be joining the Moses Lake and Knolls Vista families,” De Lane said. “I’m honored to serve as principal and look forward to partnering with families, students, and staff to make this a great year for every child.”
MLSD stated De Lane will begin his duties later this summer.
