BONNIE LAKE, Wash. — State mobilization has been approved for the 400-acre Texas Ferry Fire burning near Bonnie Lake.
According to the Washington Department of Natural Resources, this means that agencies from across Washington will now be deployed to help fight the fire.
DNR says high winds and steep terrain are proving challenges for firefighters. There is also a Red Flag Warning in affect for the area where the fire is burning.

Spokane Regional Emergency Communications have expanded Level 3 Evacuations for the Texas Ferry wildfire.
North from Bonnie Lake to West Cheney Plaza Road, East to South Wells Road, South to Bafus Place, West to Bonnie Lake.

Spokane County Fire District #3 has issued Level 3 Evacuations (GO NOW) for Bonnie Lake to Texas Ferry Road to the north tip of Bonnie Lake.
Air Operations estimates fire at 50 acres. Fire is spotting, torching & spotting, according to SCFD.
An acre is roughly the size of a standard American football field, excluding the end zones.

Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuations issued for residents living between Bonnie Lake and Texas Ferry Road north of the Bafus Place.

Fire crews are responding to a brush fire reported near Bonnie Lake on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Spokane County fire District 3 the fire was initially reported around 2:51 p.m. in the area of West Cheney Plaza and South Texas Ferry Road.
The location is difficult to access, officials said, describing it as a box canyon with limited nearby roads, which is complicating response efforts.
