GREER, Idaho — Firefighters are working to establish containment lines on the 78-acre Old Greer Fire in Lewis County.
According to the Idaho Department of Lands, the fire is burning across the river from Greer. It was first reported on Thursday at around 8:30 p.m.
Old Greer Grade is closed due to fire activity. There are no evacuations, but five structures are threatened by the fire.
IDL says its crews, along with the U.S. Forest Service, the Nez Perce Tribe and the Clearwater-Potlatch Timber Protection Association, continue to work through speed, rugged terrain to get the containment lines established, slow the spread of the fire and protect structures in the area.
