SPOKANE, Wash. — COVID-19 is still making its rounds through the Spokane area, so how can someone tell the difference between COVID-19, a common cold, or even summer allergies?
Tests from the Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility found a significant uptick in cases in late June, and the numbers are starting to rise again.
According to the Mayo Clinic, common indicators of COVID-19 include fever, a dry cough, and a new loss of taste or smell without a runny nose. A runny nose is more often a symptom of a cold.
The Mayo Clinic recommends taking these steps to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
