SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Drivers traveling on eastbound Interstate 90 should prepare for delays as the highway will be closed overnight near the Barker Road interchange for repaving work, state transportation officials said.
Eastbound I-90 at Barker Road will be closed Wednesday at 7 p.m. through 4 a.m. Thursday while crews repave the roadway, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
During the closure, maintenance crews will detour traffic off the interstate using the Barker Road off-ramp.
Drivers will then travel through the roundabout and return to eastbound I-90 via the on-ramp.
The detour is part of routine maintenance work aimed at improving road conditions. Drivers are advised to plan for delays and follow posted signs in the area.
