MOSCOW, Idaho — Police are searching for an escaped inmate who was last seen on the University of Idaho’s campus on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a WSU alert, 34-year-old Wayland Savage walked away from the U of I campus on August 13 while working as part of a prison-staffed cleaning crew.
Moscow Police are asking people to avoid Theophilus Tower on the school’s campus as they search for Savage.
Pullman Police and Whitman County Regional SWAT are also assisting in the search.
Savage is described as a heavyset, 6’2″ tall, white male wearing dark pants and a black T-shirt.
He is serving time for burglary and grand theft charges.
