SPOKANE, Wash. — A new art installation in Spokane’s River Park Square invites everyone to contribute why they love downtown.
Titled “Free Love Letters,” the installation allows the community to write their own reflections, memories and messages to the display. It was created by local Italian expressionist artist Monet Lyons.
“There is so much to love about our downtown,” said Elisabeth Hooker, DSP’s Vice President of Marketing and Programming. “We want to hear from those who experience it daily, its excitement, its flaws, its hidden gems. This is a celebration of downtown in all its complexity, told through the language of art and community.”
This is the second installation of its kind. The first was located at the historic Symons Block.
