SPOKANE, Wash. — An apartment complex fire that sent one person to the hospital was started accidently by a stovetop.
According to the Spokane Fire Department, combustible materials were left on a stove that was unintentionally turned on.
The incident happened May 17 at a home on Broad Avenue in the Hillyard neighborhood.
Eight individuals including three children were displaced and the entire structure was declared uninhabitable. One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Their current condition is unknown.
