SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies arrested a man for assaulting a pregnant woman and violating a protection order on Monday, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 11:30 p.m. on May 26, SCSO responded to a call about a man hitting a pregnant woman as she tried to get out of his car near Wall Street and Wedgewood Avenue in north Spokane.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim, who they recognized from previous domestic violence incidents. She was provided with medical attention at the scene.
Deputies identified the man in the car as 41-year-old Dwight Lansdale and learned he had punched the victim several times while she tried to get out of his Ford Mustang.
SCSO also found that Lansdale was in violation of a protection order which prevented him from having any contact with the victim.
Deputies soon found Lansdale in his Mustang at an apartment complex near North Addison Street.
He was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail for fourth-degree assault, violating a protection order, unlawful imprisonment and two outstanding misdemeanor charges.
