SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Police said two men were arrested for a drive-by shooting that left one woman injured.
35-year-old Jonathan Tokwia and 18-year-old Jacob Milne are facing several charges including for first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a firearm and drive-by shooting.
On August 4, SPD said they responded to E. 7th Ave. around 3 a.m. and found a woman with a gunshot wound to the leg.
After investigating, police said they learned two people were seen at the location, one with a gun, who left the scene together in a car.
Officers discovered a bullet hole in the wall of the home that looked like it was the entry point for the bullet that hit the victim. They also learned that children were sleeping inside the home when the shot was fired into the home.
The next day, SPD made a connection with a DUI arrest where they found one of the men passed out in a car with a stolen handgun. They later located the second man and both men were taken into custody.
Tokwia is being held on $750,000 bond and Milne is being held on $500,000. Both men are convicted felons.
