OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. — A 70-year-old Omak man died Friday when his motorcycle collided with a deer on Highway 20 in Okanogan County.
The Washington State Patrol reports the crash happened at 11:48 a.m. at milepost 274. A deer entered the eastbound lane, and the motorcyclist struck the animal.
The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family, was wearing a helmet.

A fatal motorcycle crash has shut down a portion of Highway 20 near Tonasket.
According to Washington State Patrol the crash is about one mile east of Tonasket.
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is responding to the scene to assist with traffic control.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and expect delays while officials investigate and clear the roadway.
No further details about the victim or the cause of the crash have been released at this time.
