GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — One person was arrested on drug trafficking charges when a suspected drug lab was found in a home near Quincy.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation into the home on Road 9-Northwest began on April 21. It was initially interrupted by the discovery of a hand grenade and several explosives.
The Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad came out to investigate and found that the grenade did not contain explosives and the other explosives were fireworks and explosive-making materials, which were removed.
Investigators went into the home once it was cleared by the bomb squad and found a meth lab, a DMT lab, a psilocybin mushroom growing operation and 29 guns inside buildings on the property.
There was also the remains of a marijuana growing operation on the property.
The suspect, Jason R. Besel, was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. He was released from Grant County Jail after posting $100,000 bail.
