SPOKANE, Wash. — The man who was arrested in Babb, MT after fleeing from the Spokane Police Department (SPD) made his first appearance in court on Friday.
According to SPD, 47-year-old Duane Chickene was wanted for charges of second-degree assault, first-degree kidnapping, and harassment.
At approximately 1:20 p.m., the Spokane Police Department (SPD) responded to a report of an assault at a home near Boone Avenue and Stone Street.
According to SPD, officers tried to communicate with Chickene for several hours but were unsuccessful.
After obtaining a search warrant, officers entered the residence, finding multiple firearms, including an AR-15-style rifle.
Chickene’s bond was set at $250,000, with an arraignment date of April 15 at 9 a.m.
