SPOKANE, Wash – If you love good food and northwest wine, you’ll want to block off the last weekend in September for a brand-new culinary event coming to Spokane.
The Davenport Collection and the James Beard Foundation will hold the Pacific Northwest Food and Wine Festival September 26-28.
The event begins with a grand tasting Friday night. Saturday features an all-day culinary experience with wine and cocktail events throughout Spokane.
Saturday night is an exclusive six-course dinner with paired food and win featuring chefs and winemakers.
Close out Saturday with a moonlight mixer of champagne and desserts.
Then, wake up Sunday and enjoy a jazz brunch with live musicians.
“It’s a big deal for the Davenport, but a big deal for Spokane,” said Davenport Culinary Director Patrick Dahms. “We haven’t really been on the map of a culinary destination. Portland and Seattle are trying to own that title, but Spokane is up and coming and we want to make sure people know that.”
