OTHELLO, Wash. — An Othello man was arrested after being shot during a fight with a store clerk on Bench Road Saturday afternoon.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Omar Negrete-Galvan entered a store at a store on the southwest corner of the roundabout and started fighting with the store clerk.
Both Negrete-Galvan and the store clerk displayed guns. During the fight, Negrete-Galvan was shot in the leg.
The Sheriff’s Office said based on the initial investigation, there was probable cause to arrest Negrete-Galvan on suspicion of attempted assault and other charges.
The incident is still under investigation. The cause of the initial altercation is not known at this time.
