SPOKANE, Wash. — The wait is over — Girl Scout cookie season officially begins tomorrow across the Inland Northwest.
Starting Friday, Girl Scouts will set up booths outside stores throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho, selling the iconic cookies that fund a variety of programs and experiences.
Proceeds from each box help girls earn opportunities to camp, travel, and participate in Girl Scout programming. Through these experiences, scouts build friendships, gain confidence, and learn valuable life skills.
“You should buy Girl Scout cookies because it helps us make the world a better place, and it helps us do fun activities,” said Clair, a local Girl Scout.
Cookie sales will run through April 12. Shoppers can find Girl Scouts outside many local stores during the season.
