SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A coyote was spotted walking around Spokane Valley Saturday afternoon.
4 News Now viewer Jenny Potts caught the coyote on camera walking around near the YMCA and Mirabeau Park around 3 p.m. on Saturday while out walking her dog.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife says being alert and knowing what to do if you see a coyote is the best way to keep yourself safe should you ever spot one yourself while walking.
If you ever spot a coyote in the wild, WDFW says to stand tall and don’t run away. Make sure to not feed the animals and keep your pets on a close leash to reduce the risk of an attack.
