Gonzaga women’s basketball coach Lisa Fortier was named WCC Coach of the Year for the third straight year and her players were honored with all-WCC awards as well.
Fortier, who is coming off a season where she also battled cancer, was given the honor for the ninth time in her career.
In her 11th season as head coach, Fortier led her team to a share of the regular season title.
Gonzaga standout Yvonne Ejim was named player of the year and defensive player of the year. She’s one of only five active players in Division I with 2,000 career points and 1,000 rebounds.

Washington State Players earn WCC Recognition
Washington State is playing this season in the WCC.
Tara Wallack made the all-conference first team, Eleonora Villa made the second team and Astera Tuhina was all-conference honorable mention.
Newcomers Charlotte Abraham and Dayana Mendes from WSU made the all-conference second team.
