HAYDEN, Idaho — A car crashed into another car after speeding down Highway 95 in Hayden on Monday, according to Idaho State Police.
Around 9:30 a.m. on March 3, Idaho State Police received multiple calls about a red Honda SUV driving south on US-95, over 100 mph with its hazard lights flashing.
An ISP trooper from Coeur d’Alene responded, pulling up to a red light in the northbound US-95 lane.
The trooper spotted the Honda speeding southbound on US-95 toward the intersection.
The Honda ran a red light and t-boned a silver Subaru.
The Subaru came to a rest and blocked the southbound lanes and the Honda crossed the median, rolled and came to rest on the bike path between US-95 and Super 1 Foods.
The driver of the Honda was arrested and booked into the Kootenai County Jail for aggravated reckless driving.
