COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A 64-year-old woman walking in the parking lot of the Coeur d’Alene library was run over by a car while it was backing up Sunday morning.
According to Coeur d’Alene police, the driver did not see the woman behind them due to her short stature.
One of the car’s back wheels rolled over the woman. She was transported to the hospital shortly after for non-life-threatening injuries.
CDA police reported that she suffered a fractured pelvis.
The driver of the car knew the woman they hit, according to police. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the incident.
