SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A man was arrested after attacking a victim with a machete over a $10 debt.
On Feb. 17, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Spokane Valley Deputies (SVD) arrested 65-year-old Rodrigo P. Farnacio after he allegedly attacked a neighbor with a machete.
According to SVD, Farnacio was upset over an unpaid $10 debt and confront the victim at his apartment.
Farnacio allegedly struck the victim’s door with the machete and poked him in the chest.
SVD said the victim managed to close and lock the door after throwing a cup at Fanacio, but he heard the suspect strike the door again.
Deputies located Farnacio at his apartment, where he was detained after refusing to consent to a search.
A search warrant was later obtained, and the machete was found under his bed.
Farnacio was booked into jail on charges of second-degree assault, burglary, and third-degree malicious mischief.
