A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect Friday morning through 10 a.m. Fog around Spokane is especially thick, so everyone should plan for their morning drive to take more time than usual.
Unlike other days this week, the fog is likely to lift quickly in the late morning as winds begin to pick up. A few spotty showers are possible today, especially west of Spokane in the Columbia Basin. Rain chances increase as we head into the evening, so be ready for rain if you’re out and about to start the weekend. Temperatures in the afternoon will take a jump as well thanks to the lifting fog and warming breeze. Highs will be around 50.
Saturday will be mostly dry except for the Cascades. It will be exceptionally warm for early November, near record highs. Winds pick up even further on Sunday with gusts up to 30 mph behind a front that will arrive early in the day. Rain is possible along the front on Sunday morning.
Our suddenly busy weather pattern doesn’t stop after the weekend. Another system rolls in on Tuesday with shower chances all through the middle of next week.
