SPOKANE, Wash. — Are you looking for a way to honor the men and women who have served our country?
Meals on Wheels Spokane and Fairmount Memorial Association are hosting a 14th Annual Race to Feed Our Veterans 5K Run/Walk this Sunday, November 8th, at Fairmount Memorial.
The annual event raises funds to help ensure that no senior veteran in our community goes hungry.
The race begins at 10:00 a.m. at Fairmount Memorial.
After crossing the finish line, there will be complimentary chili and beer.
This year, Meals on Wheels Spokane is also inviting participants to bring donations of new socks and canned food.
Registration is $25, and every registration helps provide five nutritious meals for local seniors and veterans. If you would like to Run or walk this race you can sign up here.
