COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The City of Coeur d’Alene has completed the turf project at McEuen Park, and the play structure is open again.
The city closed McEuen Playground in late September to replace the aging playground surface with new turf. Crews removed the old surface and installed the new one while the area remained fenced off.
Adam Rousse, Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Coeur d’Alene, said the replacement was necessary to maintain safety standards.
“The turf had met its lifespan and needed replacing to ensure the playground remains a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable destination for families for years to come,” Rousse said in a statement.
