PULLMAN, Wash. — Fall is in full swing and the City of Pullman is getting ready for its annual residential leaf collection program.
This program will begin on Friday, November 6 and continue through November 24.
People living in Pullman can rake leaves into the street next to the curb no more than two days before their neighborhood’s scheduled collection dates. Crews with the city will come and dispose of the leaves free of charge.
The city says please do not bag leaves, as they are delivered directly from the street to a mulch pile. Bagged leaves will not be collected. Also do not place anything other than leaves in the piles.
Be careful not to rake leaves over or into stormwater drains or grates, since this can cause problems when there is rain or snow.
The city says after the leaves have been collected, street sweepers will make their way through for a more thorough cleaning as time allows.
If there is ice or snow between the listed dates, the city says the leaf program may be suspended for snow and ice control.
