SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane hosted a resource event Tuesday evening to help fire-affected families access critical information on rebuilding. Attendees gained guidance on asbestos surveying, temporary housing options, contracting services, and development questions.
Nearly two and a half months after the fires, families continue navigating the long recovery process. The city’s event aimed to connect residents with professionals who understand the unique challenges of post-fire recovery.
“Rebuilding is a long process,” said Erin Hut, Spokane Director of Communications. “The immediate shock of what happened has died down a little bit. And now is the time to focus on looking forward.”
The City of Spokane will host a second resource event on October 28th at Salk Middle School for families who were unable to attend Tuesday’s gathering.
