LIBERTY LAKE — Police arrested a man after he allegedly used his phone to record a woman through her bedroom window, prompting investigators to warn that additional victims may exist.
The incident occurred Monday night on N Aladdin Road when a young woman noticed a phone recording her through her window as she went to close her blinds. She alerted her father, who called police.
Officers seized the phone and reviewed the iCloud account to identify the suspect as Colton Nachtwey. During questioning, Nachtwey admitted to police that he was attempting to record a person getting undressed, though he stated he did not specifically target this victim.
Nachtwey is charged with one count of voyeurism in the first degree and pleaded “Not guilty” in court. Court records reveal he has a prior felony conviction for injury to a child.
Liberty Lake Police determined there could be other victims of similar incidents. On Thursday, police executed two search warrants at two of Nachtwey’s properties and seized numerous electronic devices, according to Liberty Lake Police. Investigators plan to provide an update next week.
