SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A person was arrested following an attempted shooting after a party altercation.
Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 500 block of S. Van Marter Road in Spokane Valley on September 2, 2026, at approximately 9:45 p.m.
19-year-old Driven N. Reynoso, was involved in an argument with the victim after a party was winding down.
According to Spokane County Sherrif’s Office the argument escalated when Reynoso pulled the pistol and pointed it at the victim’s face. The victim reacted and grabbed Reynoso’s arm. Reynoso fired the handgun, but the shot did not strike the victim.
Officials served the search warrant at the residence, but Reynoso was not there on September 3, 2026, at approximately 3:20 p.m.
Reynoso called 911 to turn himself in after learning that Investigators were looking for him at approximately 9:20 p.m.
Officials safely took him into custody at approximately 10:00 p.m.
Reynoso was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail on a felony charge of Assault 1st Degree.
