SPOKANE, WASH. — Comcast is committing $75,000 to help Spokane-area residents recover from recent wildfires.
The company announced the cash contribution to Innovia Foundation’s Spokane Complex Wildfire Response Fund on August 21st. The donation will help address the ongoing needs of individuals and families as they move beyond evacuation and into the recovery phase.
Beyond the financial contribution, Comcast has opened more than 11,000 public Xfinity WiFi hotspots across Spokane County to help residents stay connected during the crisis. The hotspots, available to anyone regardless of whether they are Xfinity customers, will remain open until midnight on Monday, Aug. 31st.
