WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. — Fire crews are working on a 150-acre wildfire near Blyton Landing on the Snake River in southern Whitman County according to the Whitman County Sherrif’s Office.
Air support and ground crews are working to prevent the fire from growing larger. A travel trailer parked along the roadside caught fire and ignited the dry hillside.
Road Closures:Wawawai-Pullman Road is currently closed to thru traffic from the top of the grade to Steptoe Canyon.
No evacuation orders are in place at this time.This is an ongoing story.
