Tuesday brings highs in the upper 80s and 90s with increased afternoon winds. We’ll begin the day a little cloudy before clearing and getting breezy late in the day. Smoke will continue to be an issue near local wildfires, and the region will generally be hazy.
Because of the afternoon winds, A Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon to 10 pm for Asotin, Garfield, and Columbia counties, including Clarkston, Pomeroy, and Dayton.
Temperatures climb through Friday, eventually reaching the mid-90s that afternoon. This will be ahead of a cold front that will drop temperatures and increase winds for the weekend. Showers and storms are possible late Friday into Saturday morning. The gusty winds will follow, likely raising fire danger again for the first half of the weekend.
