SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash — Splash Down has announced it will delay its planned opening indefinitely, citing ongoing renovations and recent weather setbacks that have pushed the timeline beyond the anticipated June 13 date.
Recent rainfall has delayed contractor work on pools and outdoor areas, prompting the facility to prioritize guest safety and comfort over meeting the original timeline.
“We want to ensure our pools and outdoor areas are warm, comfortable, and ready for guests before opening,” the Splash Down team stated.
The water park also addressed confusion surrounding opening dates that had circulated on social media platforms. Management clarified that a previously shared opening date was posted without the knowledge or approval of ownership or management.
While no new opening date has been set, management promised to provide another update soon as work progresses.
