Much warmer weather is here, along with breezy winds and (mostly) mountain rain showers for St. Patrick’s Day.
Plan Your Tuesday
Conditions remain mostly dry today in our valleys with mountain rain showers. Breezy conditions with gusts of 30-40 mph are likely around the Columbia Basin. Skies remain mostly cloudy. Temperatures today will easily reach the upper 50s, around 10 degrees above average for mid to late March. Heading into tonight, a bigger push of moisture from the coast will bring higher rain chances to valleys and lowlands after 7 p.m. Rain will become more widespread earlier in the afternoon around the Palouse and the central panhandle mountains.
What We’re Tracking
Mountain showers and occasional valley rain continue through the rest of the week. Breezy winds will stick around too and temperatures will hit the 60s and low 70s Wednesday through Friday. Snow will melt and rivers will rise with the warm temperatures and mountain rain, but flooding is not in the forecast yet. Temperatures will be slightly cooler and we’ll see sunnier conditions this weekend.
