It was only a matter of time…
After partying hard in New Orleans over the past few days, Shia LaBeouf ended up in handcuffs Monday night following an alleged drunken fight.
According to reports, Shia was kicked out of a spot called R Bar. Things escalated outside when he allegedly punched a man multiple times. He briefly left the scene, but then came back — and witnesses say he wasn’t in a better mood.
Several people tried to hold him back as he resumed throwing punches at the same guy and reportedly hit another man in the nose. A group eventually tackled and restrained him until police arrived.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery.
TMZ shared video showing Shia being held on the ground outside while bystanders tell him to calm down. At one point, he even appears to take a few hits while restrained. (Fair warning: the video contains strong language.)
Shia has been open in the past about his struggles with mental health and alcoholism, along with previous legal trouble. Prior to this incident, he had reportedly been sober. One bartender who served him last week claimed he was “terrorizing the city.”
As for his wife, Mia Goth — the two quietly split nearly a year ago. Shia had recently moved to New Orleans to be closer to family.
