COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A ceiling light fixture caused a small electrical fire during a wrestling tournament at Lake City High School in Coeur d’Alene on Saturday.
According to Coeur d’Alene Schools, the fire broke out in one of the school’s copy rooms. The building’s sprinkler system activated immediately and put out the fire.
Firefighters with the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department evacuated everyone who was inside the building at the time.
Students, families and staff were allowed to re-enter the building once it was deemed safe and the wrestling tournament resumed shortly after.
