SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane residents can ring in the Year of the Fire Horse with food, cultural performances and thousands of dollars in prizes at the city’s largest Lunar New Year celebration.
Spokane’s United We Stand will host its 5th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at the Spokane Convention Center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event focuses on Asian cuisine and food culture.
Local Asian-owned restaurants will provide free food samples, while organizers distribute 5,000 traditional red envelopes containing more than $20,000 in prizes from local businesses.
“This year’s focus on food allows people to experience culture in one of the most universal ways—through sharing a meal,” said Vina Cathcart, co-founder of Spokane’s United We Stand.
The celebration honors more than 170 years of Asian heritage in the Inland Northwest. Dragon Dance and Lion Dance performances will open and close the event. The first 500 attendees receive complimentary swag bags.
