POST FALLS, Idaho — Take a plunge into the icy waters of the Spokane River while raising money for local athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Idaho is bringing back its annual Polar Plunge fundraiser on Saturday, February 7 at the Red Lion Templin’s Hotel in Post Falls.
The event is done in partnership with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and helps support Special Olympics athletic competitions, sports training and health initiatives.
Last year, Special Olympics Idaho raised more than $11,000 with 150 participants.
Participants must raise at $100 to plunge with youths needing $76.
