SPOKANE, Wash. — Robert ‘Bob’ Egger, who opened the South Hill location of Egger’s Better Meats and Seafood, has passed away.
The family posted on Facebook “it is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our father Robert (Bob) Egger. He opened the south hill location back in 1963. He taught all his children the responsibility of working hard for the family business, and to keep your family close.”
There are currently four Egger’s meat markets in Spokane and Deer Park. Each is individually owned and operated, and each has its own unique characteristics.
Egger’s Better Meats and Seafood says on its website it was ‘started by our uncle John, Egger’s Better Meats has been family owned/ran since 1935. All the Egger’s meat markets strive for the best in customer service, quality meat, and the best smoked products, home made the old fashioned way in our own smoke houses.
Jeff Egger wrote on the website that Bob owned the store, but he and his brother Steve still run the show with the rest of our family.
