Road conditions look promising if you’re traveling before the Christmas holiday, while temperatures in the valleys and lowland stay warm for this time of year.
Plan your Monday
Areas of fog may develop and linger this morning after some rain last night. Otherwise, it looks like a pretty calm start to the week. We’ll see partly cloudy skies with highs around 40 in the afternoon. Shower chances aren’t zero today, but they’re pretty small (20% or less). Snow returns to Snoqualmie Pass tonight to slow down holiday travelers going over to the west side.
What We’re Tracking
Rain will sweep up into our area on Tuesday evening, which will carry over into a soggy Christmas Eve morning. More mountain snow will slow down travel before a warm, windy finish to Wednesday.
Christmas Day itself will be wet too, but with cooler temperatures, some higher elevations could see a snowflake or two before the day is over. Cooler weather is coming, but not until after the holiday.
