COLFAX, Wash – The Whitman County coroner will determine the identity and cause of death of a person whose remains were found Monday morning.
The remains were found in a remote area along South Palouse River Road outside of Colfax.
The body was so decomposed, investigators could not determine the identity or the person’s sex.
The Washington State Patrol crime lab is helping with the investigation.
