NEZ PERCE COUNTY, Idaho — A Lewiston man will spend at least the next 25 years in prison for raping a teen girl.
According to the Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office, 55-year-old Karl Lutonsky forcibly raped a 17-year-old girl in July 2022.
Lutonsky was found guilty in September 2025. He is a 9-time convicted felon and was on parole at the time of the rape.
The prosecutor’s office says the victim delivered a statement in court saying in part the crime, “fundamentally broke my sense of self and safety.”
Lutonsky was sentenced to 25-55 years in prison and will not be eligible for parole until he is 80 years old.
