SPOKANE, Wash. — Drivers on both directions of Division Street near Hawthorne Road should plan extra travel time starting Monday morning.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says crews will be working to replace temporary asphalt in the area with a permanent road.
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, crews will reduce Division Street down to a single lane in both the north and southbound directions. Southbound drivers will only be able to turn right and travel west on Hawthorne Road. Anyone needing to turn east will follow a signed detour to Holland Avenue.
Northbound Highway 395 drivers will be able to turn right onto Hawthorne Road heading east but will follow a signed detour for access west of the intersection.
Drivers in both directions of Hawthorne Road will only be allowed to turn right when approaching the Division Street intersection.
WSDOT says the traffic control and reduced lanes will stay in place at all hours until the end of the day on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
