Youโll start feeling a little bit of warmth today with afternoon temperatures in the 70s. You can ditch the sweater for the next few afternoons while we wait for stormy and colder weather this weekend.
What Weโre Tracking
Everything comes down to the arrival of our first big system of the fall season this weekend. Beforehand, southerly winds will warm us up to the upper 60s and 70s each afternoon Tuesday through Thursday. There will be a few sprinkles in Central Washington and the Cascades on Wednesday and Thursday, too, but nothing major.
The storm moves inland starting Friday and will impact us through the weekend. Rain and eventually mountain snow will come with significantly cooler temperatures, including some potential for a freeze in the northern valleys come Monday morning. There are a lot of details to work out with this forecast, especially for Sunday and Monday. Stick with KXLY this week for updates.
