COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The Idaho Transportation Department wants to hear from you before finalizing plans for major road and highway upgrades across the Rathdrum Prairie.
Transportation officials launched the Rathdrum Prairie Area Transportation Study with dozens of potential projects aimed at improving travel throughout Kootenai County.
After collecting community feedback and conducting technical analysis, planners have identified 13 viable options that could address safety concerns, ease traffic bottlenecks and accommodate future growth.
Residents will have another opportunity to review the proposed improvements and share their priorities at a public meeting on September 17.
The session will help transportation officials further refine their recommendations for infrastructure projects in the region.
The open house runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Q’emiln Park Trailhead Event Center, 12201 W. Parkway Dr., Post Falls.
Attendees can arrive at any time during the meeting to view project displays and speak with transportation staff. Families are welcome.
Residents unable to attend can access the same information and submit comments online until Oct. 1 at www.itdprojects.idaho.gov.
