SPOKANE, Wash — It is an exciting day for chicken tender lovers in Spokane.
A new Raising Cane’s location is opening its doors at 10 a.m.
This is Spokane’s first Raising Cane’s and only the second location in Washington, the other in Vancouver.
The fast-food chain is known for meals comprised of tasty chicken strips, signature Cane’s sauce, toast and fries.
‘Caniacs’ or super fans of Raising Cane’s were lined up outside the new restaurant since 6 p.m. Monday.
People we spoke to say they are not expecting any free items for being first in line; they are just excited to have the iconic chicken tenders in Spokane.
Wale Bellinger was first in line for the grand opening Tuesday.
He grew up in the south, where Raising Cane’s is very popular. He says he is excited to have one of his favorite spots close to home.
“If you like sweet, get the sweet tea and definitely don’t pass up on the toast. It’s all amazing. The dip goes well with everything,” said Bellinger.
Raising Cane’s opens at 10 a.m. with special promotions, including random giveaways of free chicken for a year.
It is located at 9252 North Newport Hwy, right by the Home Depot.
The new location will cater to late-night customers with extended hours, staying open until 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
