SPOKANE — Raising Cane’s will open its second Washington location Tuesday in North Spokane on Newport Highway near Home Depot, joining a competitive chicken restaurant market that includes Chick-fil-A, Wingstop and Houston Hot Chicken.
The Louisiana-based chain specializes in chicken tenders and its signature Cane’s sauce. The restaurant opens at 10 a.m. Tuesday with special promotions including random giveaways of free chicken for a year.
“We learned that our residents out here really like quality and efficiency,” said McWilliams O’Quinn, Raising Cane’s area leader of restaurants. “And so that’s something that we feel like we’ll provide, a pretty competitive edge, into this area.”
The new location will cater to late-night customers with extended hours, staying open until 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Spokane location represents the company’s continued expansion into the Pacific Northwest market.
