SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Ecology and Spokane Clean Air have extended the Air Quality Alert until further notice due to increased regional smoke and haze.
According to the National Weather Service Spokane, the alert now covers Stevens, Spokane, Lincoln, and Grant counties.
The Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency currently reports an air quality index of 67 for Spokane.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to take precautions to protect their health.
